The Transport & Infrastructure sector continues to see increased investment and growth. The Government’s National Infrastructure Plan (NIP) announced that the overall infrastructure pipeline was £466bn, with £277bn in construction and a future investment of £189bn. Network Rail’s five-year plan to invest £38bn in rail infrastructure, includes the construction of new tracks, the renovation of stations and the upgrade of existing lines. Overall £466 billion worth of public and private investment to the end of this decade and beyond is planned across the key infrastructure sectors.

After steady growth in 2014, London’s property sector is forecast to grow 5.3% in 2015 and there are a number of major schemes in the pipeline. A report from Barbour ABI highlighted that construction output was on the increase in 2015, with London leading all regions with £28 billion, 23% of the UK total and contracts awarded in London also increasing by over 10 per cent year on year.
