Natural History Museum call in Schofield Lothian
27/03/08
The Natural History museum has appointed Schofield Lothian to head up the Project Management for a portfolio of capital investment projects with a total value around £7m that the museum will be commencing in May 2008.
The most significant of these projects will be the installation of a new fire alarm system throughout the Museum's vast estate. As part of an additional M&E commission, Schofields will also undertake a detailed review of the design and produce a performance specification for the Fire Alarm Project
The Natural History estate includes some of the Nation's most historically significant and valued properties, not to mention the priceless collections within. This naturally presents some unique challenges to the Schofield Lothian team. The stakeholder management alone involves managing the needs and expectations of a number of occupants who are affected by the works – including a number of older residents who are several million years old.
