Schofield Lothian hosts successful NEC3 seminar

The seminar was held on Tuesday 12th May 2009 at the Carthusian Suite in London. We brought together Tony Blackler, a solicitor and former member of the NEC Panel, and Colin Caldicott, a Consultant Quantity Surveyor, for a contrasting look at NEC3, Option C. Tony looked at the standard form from a theorectical point of view and discussed what the drafters' intentions were when they sought to improve on the 2nd edition. Colin took a very pratical standpoint and addressed some of the real issues facing contractors and clients using target cost contracts. The seminar produced a lively and good natured debate and provoked interesting discussion during the drinks reception held afterwards.
